Caught Myself

I caught myself thinking about you again today,
Missin the memories and wonderin, why it ended up this way.

I caught myself wonderin about what might have been,
And I caught myself thinkin, that missin you was a sin.

I caught myself starin, at you, and wondered why,
And then I caught a tear, as I started to cry.

I caught myself thinkin, about the time you held my heart,
And I caught myself wonderin, bout why we had to part.

I caught myself thinkin about the times that we shared,
And I caught myself wonderin, why you even cared.

I caught myself thinkin about the time we first kissed,
And I caught myself wonderin, why it was you that I missed.

I caught myself thinking about our future after school,
And I caught myself wonderin, if I was the fool.

I caught myself thinkin, that maybe you’re still the one,
And then I caught myself wonderin, if we were really done.

And then I caught myself, readin a poem from a friend,
And I caught myself knowing, she was right …this is the end.

You’ve moved on and so should I… I can’t wait anymore.
Gotta stop all the wonderin, and askin what for!

I’ve waited just too long, for you to change your mind,
You’ve got another girl now, and your hearts you did just bind.

I thought I was over you, but I was proved wrong.
But you see, you’ve moved on, and I’ve waited too long!

But as my friend said, there’s no need to hurry,
There’s someone out there for me, and no need to worry.

It’s time to let go, and get you off of my mind,
It’s time to move on, and new love I will find.

I caught myself thinkin about you again today,
And then I caught myself wonderin, and I put those thoughts away.
