A cutter's confession

by Tainted Beauty   Mar 11, 2005

I have a little secret,
That only you shall know,
If you promise not to tell a soul,
The true me I will show,
This secret is a dark one,
I've kept it bundled up inside,
I try to keep it quiet,
But these scars are hard to hide,
At night when I'm alone,
And no one is around,
I give my arm a slice,
And watch the blood drip slowly down,
It's the only thing that I can do,
To stop from dying of the pain,
And it helps me not to loose my mind,
And just go insane,
Crying never helps,
It just isn't what I need,
I cut to show that I am real,
Alive enough to bleed.
