My thrive to be like them

by Tainted Beauty   Mar 11, 2005

The standards are so high,
They're telling us to be thin,
That's why I torture myself daily,
Just to look like them,
I go days without food,
Ever touching my lips,
Just so I can have,
The perfect belly, thighs and hips,
My skinny friends all tell me,
That this is so wrong,
They say that its not good for me,
To go without food for so long,
I know that I should listen to them,
I know they're probably right,
But they don't understand the struggle,
The battle that I fight,
Food is my enemy,
It taunts me day by day,
I cant ignore this problem,
It wont just go away.

i understand where this came from... i don't understand why we are expected to be so skinny and thin! It's torture to not eat for days... just to keep weight off... i hate society... screw them for imposing this perfect view upon us!!!
