When Tears Come To This

by Sarah Cox   Mar 11, 2005

When tears become tears,
and people drown,
Look at the worst persons life,
They make no sound.
No one to look up to,
Or even to talk to,
The bruises were left,
When her father beat her,
The cuts on her body,
Simple Mistakes.
This is the life,
Of a proven fate.
She crawls in a corner,
Her deep, dark, black hole,
Muttering to the only thing she has,
Herself.
The worst of the worst,
No sunny day shown,
Her dark black hair,
Over her dreary blue eyes.
Stare into them deeply,
Tell me what you see,
Not a crazy person,
A person that needs,
That wants,
That breathes.
Tell me what you see.
Her life shown,
Through a flash of light.
Until someone cares,
She crawls back,
To that same,
Old corner,
Adding more damage,
To her body.
