Died for beauty

by Brodie   Mar 11, 2005

A young girl came home and looked in the mirror,
hate, lies and sorrow, she couldn't go further,
she lay down her head and started to cry,
and thought to herself I hate me but why?',
her salty wet tears soaked through her bed,
i don't want to be here, I'd rather be dead

She began writing a letter,
explaining that dead would be better,
Good-bye family and friends,
remember friends to the end,
she didn't want to be living anymore,
and with that thought she fell to the floor

She put the sharp blade up to her wrist,
and ever so tightly clenched her small fist,
she sobbed so loud as she dug it so deep,
then saw the red liquid beginning to weep,
I'm so glad its all over, that thought in her head,
a special young girl lost, cause now she is dead!

Very sad. I can't really critisize on the poems structure because the meaning of this has stuck out very vibrantly.
A vibrant, sad and dark display of raw emotion with fiction.
    Well done

one of the darkest poems i've ever read... almost too dark. Great job!
