Plagued Dreams

Three dreams in one night
Of the same person
Something different each time
But woken up before I could say
“You will be mine.”

I wake up feeling unsatisfied
My heart hurting a little bit more
I’ll put on my clothes
And remember what I could have said
But I was woken up before the words could come

Then realities comes into the day
There they are; the one the plagued my dreams
Pretending they’ve done nothing
Smiling and playing around; living life
If only they knew when they look into my eyes
All I see is them.

I see something beautiful
Something that flows with the air
With a light so great behind it
A smile so angelic
A voice so innocent

I smile and try to say hello
But look at me
I’m back in 2nd grade
And I just ignore them
Like they do not mean a thing to me

They come to talk to me
And I can not think of anything
I just smile and agree and they walk away
This is how it will be unfortunately
The secret will stay with me for a while

I’ll die a little bit more
Because this has been left unsatisfied again
I’ll watch the beauty grow into a flower
I will not be the gardener to make them perfect
But I will be the cloud that shades this person
When the light becomes too great
