Before its too late

She wanders her home town
the place in which shes grown
not a soul speaks a word to her
she knows shes all alone

she smiles and nods her head
attempting to fit in
but others don't want to know
fair to hear her screaming from within

continuously tumbles further
no one ever breaks her fall
weakened by the tiring battle
helpless of putting a stop to it all

as her tears drop one by one
no one wishes her nightmare away
the nightmare now so familiar
from living it day after day

hasn't eaten for far too long
numb to the hunger pains
along with the daggers driven
from endless labeling and names

still she puts in place her mask
desperate for someones care
the need for help keeps growing
but her heart remains so bare

sick of the repeating memories
playing over in her mind
sick of the rows on going
mad her parents could be so blind

turns her music even louder
searching for an exit from this
her broken heart struggles to beat
wonders if shed even be missed

all she can see is more hurt and pain
the scattered pieces of what was her
the questions on why and how go on
shes still just a little girl

single handedly she fights on
with the little strength she has left
surely living shouldn't be such a chore
always trying to clear up the mess

just take the time to notice
help her see light through the misty blur
listen for a while, before its too late
you could be the one to save her
