Demons

I turn around and there they are
Wanting me to cause my own scars
I stare all day at the stars
I feel trapped behind bars

They want to hurt me, because i hurt them
I am a prayer warrior and i shall defend
my family and friends

They look at me with hateful eyes
Hurt my friends that causes me to cry

They take away my clothes and try to make me feel ashamed
But i rebuke them in Gods name

They keep the distance far behind
They attack my back where i am blind

What they do hurts but i am use to having to suffer
Because i am both a fighter and lover

The knife they hand me has an aim
They want me to use it to cut my own vein

My strength seems to fail when other friends come along
Rolling up their sleeves saying its not wrong

I fight for them and they turn away
But i don't care ill fight for them all day
I make demons suffer when i pray

I fight so much, and need to feel love
I realize i feel it everyday because it comes from above

I look at my wrist, and its scar free
Because i have friends who are prayer warriors like me
