Broken

by Mac   Mar 13, 2005

Broken i have often walked this road,

Stolen heart my shoulders burdened past their max

Forgetful mind forgives too quickle

That which impacts my mind and heart

Empty hole that longs to be filled

With simple pleasures and love pure love

Metal ravaged body and scars left uncleansed

Mark my existence with a stark reality

Words mangled beyond intelligence

Poems written with guilty mind are judged

As genius works proclaimed by God

While stanzas written in pure heart

Are considered hopeless piles of trash

Love connected in impossible ways

Causes feet to stray from their path

Though from evil to righteousness

I'm on the right road.

Broken i have often walked this road

But not alone oh not alone

Each step taken faithfully

Beside the one i love to love oh so purely.
