Past the hurt and sadness

I cut somewhere
Where no one lies

The part of me that’s alert

I cut so deep
Into my veins

Where tears are rain

I cut somewhere
That can’t be found
Where everyone sleeps
And there is no sound

I cut to a place
Where nothing is said
A place in me
That isn’t dead
