Last night we were laying in bed
I thought a few lines of a start for a new poem
I wanted to get up and write it down real fast
But I didn't want to wake you
Over such a thing
So I just layed and thought about the poem
And watched you peacefully sleep
And wondered what you might be dreaming about
I lay closer
I feel so safe in your arms
And soon I fell asleep
That poem
Oh what was it about
This morning i thought about it
And tried to remember something about it
But it had done slipped my mind
Don't remember one thing about it
Don't remember what it was about
But it wasn't worth me remembering it
And getting up in the middle of the night to jot it down
And losing another minute without you
