One last wish

by Dead As Yesterday   Mar 13, 2005

The end of a season the death of a dream
A means to an end, so silent, serene
All hope is lost as I so sadly give in
An easy way out with just the prick of a pin

You melted my rainbows and darkened the skies
I’ve lost count of tears that fall from my eyes
Light grows dim as the end draws ever near
Air bubble in my vain it all seems so clear

I’ve tried and tried to find some small way
To face life without you day after day
The dreams of my soul were woven round you
The hurt and the pain was all that I knew

Darkness prevails across a cold starless sky
I hope you’ll remember me when time passes by
If I had one last wish and could it make come true
I’d start things all over and wake up with you
