Some people say
That the stars in the skies
Are people we loved looking down on us

Some people say
That the stars in the skies
Are each and everyone's dreams

Some people say
That the stars in the skies
Are lost loves enlightening our way

Some people say
That the stars in the skies
Are every tear someone's cried

But I know for sure
That not all tears are up there
Because all those times you're not there
When I look at the stars in the skies
Tears fill my eyes
