Sitting on the bus

Sitting on the bus today
Hearing their voices in my head
Saying cruel things about how I looked
Wishing I was dead

Comments floating down the isles
For the world to hear
Knowing my friend can hear them to
She is sitting so near

Though I pretend that those comments
Do not hurt me, I do not feel
But when I got home today
My wounds they did not heal

I wanted just to release the tears
I wanted just to cry
But this would show them they had one
And do that, I would rather die
