No one would substitute

Then came the day
You told me

At first I mocked you
Laughed at her name
Couldn't imagine it was something you could do

You apologised
Said not to be mad
That it had been a mistake she liked some one else
Wanted to go back to what we had

I cried then
Tears flowed down my cheek
Remember the pain I’d felt

The pain he’d caused
Hurt so bad
