Worldly Flaws

by EpithetPoet   Mar 15, 2005

Past the cracked skull
Gleaming through the dirt
Is the story of a girl
Who didnt survive the hurt

Mixing with her blood
Are the worms who thrive
Feasting on the flesh
Of what was once alive

Through all her crimsom tears
She kept her smile bright
Leaving all sins behind
Clinging to what's right

All the laughter and deceit
From those she held dear
Drove her to the very brink
Of shedding her last tear

The labyrinth etched across
The pain marked in blood
Letting her escape the world
Leaving to rest in mud

What she could not help in life
She gave to nature's cause
Leaving behind all her fears
Giving up her worldly flaws
