Alone I Stand

I tell you I just wanna be alone,
My true feelings will never be shown

All the pain and anger I keep inside
Behind a fake smile is where tears hide

My life is fading, I die a little more each day
I need you to know this, but what words should I say?

Depressed, alone, the "nice" way of putting how I feel
The cold remains of my soul will never heal

The more I push you away, the more I need you to understand
Empty and broken, my life slips away, alone I stand.
