About a girl

by slaMBit   Mar 15, 2005

Black eyes, blue tears,
Of a child without hope,
Black eyes, blue tears,
Of a teen mother trying to cope.

Red eyes, puffy cheeks,
Of a young girl being pushed against the wall,
Red eyes, puffy cheeks,
Of a dying soul with no one to hear the call.

Bruised lungs, fading heart,
Of an invisible boy,
Bruised lungs, fading heart,
Of a once beautiful girl, now just a man’s toy.

Sorrowful eyes, empty soul,
Of a father without a wife,
Sorrowful eyes, empty soul,
Of a teen holding a knife.

Failing faith, health receding,
Of a model without any poise,
Failing faith, health receding,
Of a scream that makes no noise.

Golden silence, painful chatter,
A baby without a name,
Golden silence, painful chatter,
A society that lives in chains.

Darkness consumes, the light hidden,
With nightmares that are real,
Darkness consumes, the light hidden,
A child with no love to feel.

Black eyes, Blue tears,
Screams are heard all around,
Black eyes, blue tears,
Frightened eyes, painful whimpers, no one responds to the sound.
