Save A Life

He is lying on the bed
With a woman who is not his
And his wife is at home crying
Wondering where he is

She is selling herself for money
She has to support herself and her kid
And though she needs food and a place
She wishes she did not do what she did

He is standing over him
He can not believe what he has done
Blood is on his hands
Fingerprints on the gun

He drank himself to happiness
But he brought his family to tears
Sending himself to heaven
After only 22 years

He is a part of a gang
And he just cant get out
They are making him do things
And filling his mind and life with doubt

His girlfriend left him
And he knew he could not make it on his own
He took his life that night
He thought it was better than being alone

She just could not take it anymore
All the laughs and jokes
Other girls were making fun of her
Because she was different then most

He was never perfect enough
His dad use to beat him all the time
No one heard the yells and screams
No one saw the signs

This is how our world is
Everyone around you everyday
May be going through a struggle
So take the time to say

Say I love you
Tell them you will be by their side
Because you never know
You could save a life
