Blackened rivers

Somethings missing
what i don't know
but i feel so alone
with nowhere to go

so numb, but then not
confuses my mind
tired and helpless
tears making me blind

as my make up runs
blackened rivers flow
shiver and shaking
cant rise from this low

don't let me cut
stop the need
keep me away
don't let me bleed

no more wounds
to scar my skin
let it pass over
and vanish within

but it doesn't leave
the loneliness remains
overpowering me
again and again

as i try to fight back
it only grows stronger
a battle i cant
block out much longer

draining my life
freedom now past
chained to the hurt
head spinning too fast

nothing makes sense
which way should i turn
help me back up
maybe ill learn

don't just pass by
with pitiful sighs
help me fight again
look into my eyes

see the girl
underneath the mask
help her onto her feet
like once in the past

that little girl there
the one you cant see
shes only confused
shes only me

she just needs the care
from someone true
and a hand to hold
why cant it be you...
