The Four Walls

by lisa marie   Mar 16, 2005

The world doesn't know how to be satisfied
The angels lost all will to save our broken lives
But the rivers are still flowing and the trees haven't died
Just everything around is at fault in disguise

The mosters in our minds destroy our whole essence
The demons in our shadows manipulate our thoughts
We're living in this life at our own exspense
Twisting and turning into impossible knots

Life is confusing and hidden in our minds
And all of our dreams contain the missing pieces
But dreams are never clear and not well defined
The world is oblivious without a proper thesis

Today we stand here, without a single clue
The actions we accomplish justify our make-up
Our insufficient placement is past over due
And all of our beliefs have been carelessly corrupt

Surrounded by instigators playing with our morals
And past memories that contradict our character
Silent and motionless like the ocean corrals
Bound to be broken behind the four walls

I liked it. Don't worry about the line length etc. you should write what you want and how you want. If all you are bothered about is people giving comments then shorten your poem. However, if you're serious poet and you wish for serious comments, then if the reader really wants to read poetry, they will read your poem no matter how long it is. I hope you understood that. Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing.

and i don't think great poets take offense to chaging the rhyme scheme. look at shakespeare, he changes his rhyme schemes.
