Can You Ever Forgive Me

How can I expect you to forgive me
when I treated you so bad
without giving a thought
to the beautiful love we had.
I could say I'm sorry
from now until eternity
and I still wouldn't blame you
if you never forgave me.
I've shown total disregard
for the feelings inside of you
as if you meant nothing to me
for this I have no excuse.
I never meant to hurt you
I'm so sorry that I did
all I ask is for a chance
to prove my love again.
If ever again you should decide
I'm worthy of your love
I promise to be nothing less
than all you ever dream of.
