~Do not read if you have not read parts 1-15...and this will probably be the last part.~

Ana ran into the hospital, Landon sounded desperate on the phone. I knew it. She thought to herself, Car is lying to me when he says everything is fine. She burst into the room, heaving her hair sticking to her face.
Everyone else was already there. waiting. Carson's face was ghost white, as if someone had kneed him where it counted.
"Ana, i am glad you're here. There is something we need to discuss."
Ana sat down next to her brother and held his hand tightly.
The doctor continued, speaking, "Well i assumed that you knew about Carson's situation, when you adopted him..."his deep voice trailed off.
Sebastien nodded, "Yes..."
"Well, then you know how when he was younger he had to have a marrow transplant, his sister, being twins was the perfect match for him. Unfortunately, his body has rejected the marrow, pretty suddenly. I think that if he had come in for the last three appointments, i think we could have caught the cancer's restarting sooner."
At that Ana sat up, "WHAT" she screamed outraged, "Buddy you IDIOT! You haven't been coming to your appointments! WHY?!"
The boy couldn't speak, he looked down at his sheets, shamefacedly.
The doctor put a hand on Ana, she stopped, her face turning red, trying to keep back tears.
"So, what i would like to do, is start Chemotherapy again. We'll insert a catheter so he is getting it 24-7. Along with some antibiotics. If that doesn't work in 6 weeks we'll try radiation."
"And if that does not work?" Sebastien asked.
"I don't know."
So that was how it went for six weeks, Ana spent in the hospital. Carson's doctors wanted to obtain a complete remission before sending him home. It hurt her to see her brother coughing and hacking. His shaggy black hair fell out. And he was getting thinner. Her brother was always optimistic.
When the six weeks were up, her brother looked like a walking skeleton. And he still had not reached a remission. So the doctors started radiation, but that did little to stop it. They could try a marrow transfusion again, if they upped his drugs to weaken his immune system. Which was what they did. The boy was moved into a sterile unit where he could not be touched by outside germs. Anyone who came in had to be fully clothed in sterile shoes, hats, gloves, pants, and shirts.
Ana could not stand seeing her brother like that, and she stopped eating just to be with him; she stopped seeing Willie, just to spend her days out with her brother.
"Zebra…" he murmured one day, his voice shaky, he had been running a high fever despite the drugs.
"yeah bud—I’m here. You have nothing to worry about. You’ll pull through, you always do."
He shook his head meekly, "Zebra, not this time. I—I don’t have the strength to do this anymore. I can’t keep fighting. Please tell me it’s ok that I go?"_|OKna fought back tears, "Buddy, buddy, don’t say that. You’re the only family I have left! You can’t leave me alone!"
He squeezed her hand with what little strength he had, "Ana, listen to me, you are so amazingly strong, I know that it will hurt, but you will make it. You and Willie and your band will go all the way to the top. You will make it without me. Please, just let me go."
Ana could not hold back the tears anymore, but her silence let Carson know what her answer was. That night, he slipped into a coma, never to wake again.
