I think of him

What do you do
when you're in love
with the one
you let go?
You feel so lost and alone
you can't help
but still think of him
as you're with your new one.
You think of him
as if he's still yours
when you know
that you're the one
that made the mistake
of letting him go.
You still talk to him
on the phone
and that's the only time
that you don't feel alone.
When you're sitting there thinking
that no one
will fill that space
that you've created in your heart
and the hollowness that now
fills your soul.
And that no one
will make you feel
the way that he did.
Well many may know
what I'm talking about
but no one can know
that these are all the things
that I think of
when I'm now with the one I call mine.
