Painful Memory

by The Names Craig!   Mar 18, 2005

The thunder roars.
The lightning flashes.
A little boy sits on his bed curled up in a ball.
Thoughts of his parents flood his mind,
like rain drops on the ground.
He can't get the memory out of his mind...
The boat rocking to and fro, his parents running franticly from side to side trying to keep the boat afloat. Waves continuously crashing on to the deck, then, all of a sudden, the footsteps stop. He goes up to check on his parents and they aren't there. He goes back down and looks through a window and sees something. It's his parents caught under water. As every second passes their grip on this life slips away slowly. All he can do is sit there and watch his parents slowly die...
The lightning flashes again.
He awakens as if from a dream, but it was a painful recurring memory.
The memory of his parents drowning right in front of his eyes, and how he has to live with the pain of not being able to do anything but watch.
