We had said our goodbyes

You smile and nod yes
We drive back separately
And as were walking up to the door

When we walk on in it changed everything
I had barely shut the door before you kissed me
With such passion and fire I'd never felt before
My only option was to kiss you back
I'd forgotten just how good this felt
Somehow we made it to my bedroom
Afterward with you holding me
I felt as I was in heaven
I'd forgotten just how good love could be
You tell me you're gonna have to go back
You see the tears gather in my eyes
You wipe them one by one away
But I continue to cry
You make me look at you
You tell me you love me
You tell me we'll never be over
Then you kiss me sweetly
I walk you to your car
And watch you drive away
