No offence taken

by SammiBABY   Mar 20, 2005

I think by the way you said it,
I was meant to get upset,
Meant to make me cry a lake,
Let the ground get wet.
I think that you expected,
Me to actually react,
But what you yelled out at me,
was really just a fact.

“You’re gay,”
Really? I didn’t know,
“Fag”,
That’s real nice of you to share.
“Lesbian,”
Wow, you are slow,
“Dyke”,
Why the hell should I care?

See if you think it hurts,
I guess you are mistaken,
I don’t think being gay is bad
Really, there’s no offence taken.

This poem was awsome. One of my friends has abaondoned me as of lately b/c im bisexual. She said,"I don't want to be around a damn lesbian like you. You've lied about it for to long." I have hidden it from her for a while now. I finally desided to tell her b/c i decided I dont care what people think and I wanted to come out of the closet. She started trying to make me feel guilty about the person I am and It kinda upset me that she was trying to do that to hurt me. But i didnt care waht she though b/c I can't change who I am even if i wanted to. This poem just reminded me of this situation and I just wanted to let you know how amazing I thought it was! laters!
