No longer that dumb

by SammiBABY   Mar 20, 2005

Once upon a time you held me safe,
As I cried river of tears,
You helped me through my hearts distress
As I fell, unprotected from fears.

Once upon a time I told you everything,
I showed you my hearts range,
But after awhile you ignored it all,
you truly started to change.

And now just to see your face,
Fills me with resent and hate,
Because I was always kind to you,
now I’ve lost all hope in fate.

I come to you streaming tears,
That seem more common as days pass,
and all you say is “Dry them up,
and get straight back to class.”

Because I know you don’t care,
You only want to lie,
Promising to come to see me,
Yet never drop by.

How dare you say,
That I’m “on top of your priorities”?
And then avoid me everyday,
Like I’m some deadly disease.

And as I have said many times before,
“If the law makes you, you will care,
But if it doesn’t you really don’t,”
You continue to be cruel and unfair.

And I want to make this fully clear,
If you hurt my friends at all,
I will hurt you physically,
I’ll destroy you, make you fall.

We are meant to trust you,
And when someone you trust lies,
The feeling of belief and hope,
Cruelly wilts and dies.

Last year when I felt that hate,
I thought it was as strong as possible,
But now I know you can feel a hate,
Even more hurtful and cruel.

Because the last person you’d ever think,
would diminish all your trust,
Is the one who has now,
Left my body to rust.

So congratulations,
You’ve lost me and left me numb,
And don’t expect me to forgive you,
I’m no longer that dumb.

I hate you Waldo get out of my life.

  • hiya, just in answer to your comment - 'outlines of my life' is not really based on facts about me or anybody and is actually about lots of different feelings about having a friend and not having a friend at the same time - i don't even get it. but thanks for your comments - means alot.
