I Stand Alone

by Joanna   Mar 20, 2005

As I look into his eyes
a whole new world opens up,
one where fear plays no part.
For me, he would let his soul bleed,
just to mend my own.
Day and night he would stand along my side,
guarding me from any dark that be cast upon myself.
As he holds my gaze,
I know he cares deeply for my passion inside,
not for my false allurement.
Yet part of him remains a mystery,
a shadow that blocks the sun.
Because I am the gallant sun,
I must stand alone.
