Behind this laughter

Behind this laughter, Behind my smiles
Hidden away deep within my mind
Are the feelings that make me so depressed
Put a smile on to hide behind

Staring at the scars deep and visible on my arms
Looking at them through my clouded eyes
Where my wounds run deep and true
Hiding behind these smiles and lies

For a release, in my own little world
I cut and cut, making words of hate and fear
Scarred there for me to look upon every day
Bleeding my crimson, blood red tears

On my arms the light cuts stare out at me
On my legs and stomach the true pain is revealed
Where my deep cuts live, and my old scars
When I cut my depression is sealed
