True Sadness

I want to tell you a story
A story of love so true
One I will always remember
Even when my days are through
It starts off with a girl
This girl is the key
She fell in love with a boy
But the blindness of love she did not see
She was a good girl I must say
Always doing what is right
But then the boy came along
And she never put up a fight
She wanted him to be happy
No matter what she thought
She wanted him to love her
This act every one bought
She acted oh so happy
And I guess she could have been
Until the boy wanted everything
And committed one more sin
He said he loved her so very dear
And of course she truly believed
She was so young and not ready for it
But she was certainly deceived
She cried one night when she found out
So scared about what may be
But the test proved without a doubt
She was pregnant at 17
So lost and scared and so alone
She did not know what to do
He told her everything would be OK
He said that she would make it through
She could’t tell anyone
Her reputation couldn't take it
And she could never tell her parents
She knew that they would throw a fit
With nowhere to turn she asked the boy what to do
He looked so scared unsure of himself
But knew what she had to go through
He drove her to the clinic
Telling her it would be fine
Don’t worry it’ll be over in a minute
She acted like she was blind
She never said a word
And went through with it
She thought to herself its ok
It only hurts a bit
But then she started crying
She couldn’t believe what she had done
She gave up her own child
Her own flesh and blood
She thought that he loved her
But now she finally sees
Nobody who truly loved her
Would ask her to pay this kind of fee
So with her broken heart
She told him he had to go
She just wanted to take back what she did
But now the child she will never know
So now think about this story
Its sad but oh so true
What choices would be made
