A Prayer For Me

God as I am on bended knee,
I'm not going to ask for much,
I just need your reassurance,
And my heart needs your loving touch.

I pray for your mercy,
I ask you to walk with me,
In a world that's so untrue.

I ask for you to help me,
To live the life I should,
If for any reason I stumble or fall,
Pick me up if you would.

Sometimes life deals us a hand,
That is so hard to bear,
Give me strength to pick the pieces up,
And to carry on if I can.

I need you at my side,
And to live in my heart,
As long as you're there,
I know peace will start.

Thank you God, For giving your life for me,
I'll try to live for you,
The way it should be.
