Room Of Sorrow

by Randee   Mar 21, 2005

I sit in my room of empty promises and broken hearts,
The walls are made with tears and screams,
This is my world,
The only one I've ever known.

Caffeine and cigarettes are all I need,
To be loved is all I want,
Pictures of family and friends hang forgotten on the walls,
The floor is bare and gray as my lost soul,
This is my world,
The only one I've ever known.

Memories linger in the air,
Refusing to leave,
Determines to haunt me forever,
This is my world,
The only one I've ever known.

I sit alone in this room of despair,
Plotting escape,
But afraid to leave,
Stuck in this game of cat and mouse,
There is only one way out,
It becomes more tempting each day,
Like the forbidden fruit,
It won't be long until I can't resist.
