Imperfection.

by Ana Weller   Mar 21, 2005

My life; my own imperfection.
A little girl, living inside her self.
All I wish for is a little attention,
But no, only an imperfection on the shelf.

You tell me that my life is so great,
You tell me that I have it all.
But, to tell you, It's not so great.
And I have to tell you, I don't have it all.

Daddie, you yell at me day after day.
It's not my fault I can't be perfect.
I can't help the things I say,
I can't help that I'm a reject.

But you make it seem so,
It's my fault, I am to blame.
So scared and upset, you know.
So here i sit, of myself, in shame.

Your voice so loud and full of pain.
This is my life, my own imperfection.
You hands balled into fists, always the same.
All I wanted, Daddie, was a little attention.

All I wanted was to be loved,
All I wanted is to be cared for.
Not only by God in the heavens above,
But I want so much more...

My life; my own imperfection.
A little girl, living inside her self.
All I wish for is a little attention,
But no, only an imperfection on the shelf.
