**Dedicated to my big sister who is graduating from Reno High this June. Congratulations. You made it!** I remember my first day of elementary school. I wanted to be just like you; in 4th grade and cool. You got to play with older kids and be on the big playground, while I was stuck with boring nap time, not allowed to make a sound. Middle school rolled by for you, no longer could you pout. And no longer did you "play" together, but constantly "hung out." Next came high school with drama and boyfriends. You got in fights with catty girls and never made amends. Sophomore year brought your first car: a Saturn SL2. You'd drive around and honk your horn at everyone you knew. Homework loads doubled along with phone calls, and long forgotten and put away were your pink Barbie dolls. Volleyball started, and you were a "hit." Best Defensive Specialist!?! You sure did your bit. You got your first job... tie-dying with care. You even came home with tie-dyed underwear! Senior year of high school came, and so did my freshman class. You only had four periods, which made it easy to pass. Soon you're moving out with college just ahead. In a month or two or so, your roommates will be dead. At your graduation, they'll play Pomp and Circumstance. Mom will cry the entire time because she'll have the chance. Now you're moving on to the UNR Wolf Pack. Once you're in the nursing program, you've got it in the sack. Although you're growing older and leaving Mr. Sully, Remember where you came from, and, of course, remember Woolly!
