Heaven is my Bedroom

by Megan   Mar 22, 2005

You touched my heart with angels’ breath of grace,
With wings so soft I felt them in my dreams.
Your gentle, tender lips caressed my face.
Your eyes were lit like sunny diamonds’ gleams.
I heard you whisper to my sleeping soul,
“My love for you remains, though I do not.
It burns into your weary heart like coal
Ablaze inside your cozy hearth, so hot.”
I woke to early morning’s hazy sun
And stepped upon the downy rug that lay
Inside the kingdom where I watched you run
And where we always bowed and knelt to pray.
I thought I lost my one and only love,
But all I had to do was look above.
