Inspiration

Performing is always a different mood because you have an audience, the butterflies are flitting, and the lights are brighter. I always like rehearsal more than the real thing because it doesn’t really matter if you screw up; your sole purpose is to fix your mistakes. But performing is even better because after you show off, it’s all over. I always get calm jitters, like ants or something, but usually not butterflies. I’m used to performing, I love being on stage, it’s like the world but bigger.
Before we went on stage most people were sitting or stretching. It was an inside energy, waiting to get out. When we all came off stage it was like a giant mask being lifted off of our identities and we all basked in the relief of ‘It’s over’.
