I never meant for this to happen,
but when you changed I couldn't help it.
I told you everything I could,
to make this easier on you.

I still love you and will never stop,
but you weren't the one I thought you were.
I'm sorry that it came to this,
but I didn't know what else to do.

I hope one day you can forgive me,
and let me still be your friend.

and I understand if you hate me.

The words I spoke that day were true,
and so were the tears I shed.
