My Nightmare

There's a bond between me and the darkened soul
When the wings of this creature start to flutter
Leaving me here
Leaving me in my own nightmare

I swear that it's just a dream inside my head
But I'm living it each and everyday
When this cruel act swallows my destiny
I'm forever alone

My body bleeds for the comfort
A comfort that only this creature can give
Crimson tides of this substance
Finds its way to the floor

Guiltly ashamed for using this for comfort
As the darkened soul fades in the night
Taking my thoughts away
Making me turn blank within seconds

Wishing for this stranger to come near
To hold me against its power
Find no conclusion within my reach
Leaving me in my own nightmare
