The Best Worst Night

by OsuBearcat   Mar 24, 2005

I put on my tux and tie
Felt so good like I could fly
I had everything, so I got in my car
Her house was not very far

Her parents opened the door
They said she would be a few minutes more
I went and sat on the sofa
Her parents asked if I wanted a soda

She come down the stairs and smiled
Her nails were painted and filed
She was wearing a dress of black and white
She was as beautiful as a star in the night

We went outside, it was a nice night
I felt like an honorable knight, with all glory and might
We got in the car and headed to eat
Her friends we were going to meet

After, we went to the dance
When we danced I felt like I was in a trance
The dance was over, I had a great time
And it was worth every dime

I had an itch caused by an imaginary flee
I had to ask her if she would go out with me
“I think we’re moving to fast,” is what she said
I felt like I took a shot to the head

What I really wanted to know
Is why she just didn’t say no
Because after that she didn’t want to talk
Or take a midnight walk
