Spring in the South

by wayne t   Mar 24, 2005

Spring once again graced my beloved South,
Driving away Winters dreary days so blue,
Feisty little buttercups first arrivals of spring,
Yellow blanket covering winters dead remains,
Dogwoods blooming signifying the time of year,
Rebirth of Mother Nature bestowing her beauty,
Bringing forth a blessed event to those of faith,
Tulip trees in bloom, a sea of purple and white,
Air filled with honeysuckle, jasmine so sweet,
Vivid colors magically bursting out, renewing life,
Warm days, chilly nights, summer not yet here,
Enchanting smells of early evening sadly won't last,
Rejoice for Spring in the South is but once a year,
Revel in her beauty, inspiration and spiritual event,
For never to witness Spring, life is incomplete.
