Daisy Chains

by Lost Girl   Mar 24, 2005

You smile so sweetly
Protect me from what I have become
A creature so ugly
That has turned so numb

I watched you picking daisies
Making daisy chains of care
So blissfully happy, smiling sweetly
And stayed so unaware

I helped you make it stronger
A chain of pure white flowers
We sat there together
Smiling sweetly all those hours

That chain grew so strong
But still you wouldn’t stop
So that night I left you
As the stars shone bright up top

The next day I returned
And I couldn’t help but stare
Hanging from the daisies
I saw your body swinging there…
