Inside the Heart of Her

by Brad Edwards   Mar 24, 2005

Betrayal of the purest kind, and this is all she’ll ever know. Everyone she’s ever loved has broken her. Cut by the words that they always spoke to her. Repeatedly she’s heard this and now she makes the mistake of believing it. Each new night these dirty needles lie at her feet. Lines of white stained by her blood, and completely drowned by her tears. Those tears she should have never cried… but she did, and it’s because of you. So tell me, now do you like this, is this the feeling you hoped to achieve? Have you ever felt one ounce of remorse or shed one tear, or one single drop of blood for her? No, that’s what I thought and she never dreamed anyone would love her the way she thinks you do… but you don’t. These are fake feelings, and all you’ve ever told her were lies. So now she stands there, waves goodbye and slowly pulls that trigger…
