Wanting to Believe

by MistressMoonim   Mar 24, 2005

I want to believe in magic,
In fairies and Santa Claus.
I want to believe that its love I'm feeling,
Through this awkward pause.

I want to believe that I'm ready,
To stop acting like a kid.
I want to believe in forgiveness,
Cause I cant change what you did.

I want to believe this will work,
That I'm strong enough to carry on.
I want to believe that were different,
Not just the same as everyone.

I want to believe that your sorry,
That what you're saying rings true.
I want to believe that I'm strong enough,
To resist it even from you.

I want to believe that you love me,
I want to believe that you care.
I want to believe that were perfect,
That you think of me when I'm not there.

I want to believe that you're worth it,
That you're worth every single tear.
I want to believe that I'm to blame,
That I held you far too near.

I want to believe in love,
I want to believe that I'm free,
But most of all, my darling.
I just want you and me.

But its over.
