Behind the Gate

by wayne t   Mar 24, 2005

Such a massive iron and wooden gate this be,
Stained by blood, tears of centuries long past,
Protecting all who are imprisoned by this gate,

Sentry's stand solemn each side tempting you,
Try to flee, your sentence far more hideous than-
Death surly be quicker, imagine your eternal fate,

Chained, deprived, tortured, entombed barely alive,
Sustenance rarely sustaining body, heart and soul,
Mistress relentless keeping open scares, blood flows,

Ripping from you with precision, passion, alas, love,
Disobeying this horrid castles steadfast ageless rule,
You sought to find, experience the ultimate, true love,

To give, to share the erotic pleasures of body and mind,
For succumbing to human frailty as noted you shall stay,
Behind the gate never seeing the light of sunny clear day,

Screaming for the mistress to hear, foregoing your fear,
Bring me the sword of Damocles, I shall end my life -
Never to love again, plunging in the sword, I am now free.
