Prevail

by kaitlyn   Mar 25, 2005

Hiding never seemed like a option
when you were told to rise and not fall
to face your fears
that could take you years to overcome

Fixing and mending became a different meaning
when a girl thought she had everything to live for

She was told we all have to learn sometimes
but how many times would it take
to see through the roughness of dark

What does it take to make a mark
that will always stay in our thoughts
even when all is wrong and no remaining feelings are left

We made a promise
but not all promises were meant to be kept
to know if it will seems to good to be true

I need to cut through all this dark blue
just to get to you
not even knowing if you will still be waiting
for the one thing that never stopped believing
