Wink of an Eye

The candle is no longer lit,
The flame is gone we are done,
This battle that we have been fighting,
Will never be won.

I hope they are satisfied,
My love will always stay true,
But you see we can not go on any longer,
So for now no more me and you.

I pray that you find a new love,
But do not ever forget me,
I'll wait at the pearly gates,
