The Last Sentence

by Kayla   Mar 25, 2005

She smiles and she waves
As she arrives at school
They think her life's so perfect
So they are all cruel

Truth be told
Life's not perfect at all
Not even close
As she cries in the bathroom stall

No one understands
Not even if they tried
She feels scared and alone
So many tears she has cried

Her only relief
Is the sharp cut of a blade
But now all is numb
Her life about to fade

She amounts to nothing
Her parents are not proud
Her life is always hidden
In a dark thunder cloud

No one can save her now
As she picks up the book
She writes her last thoughts
And how her life they took

She writes the last sentence
"Today I will kill myself,
The pain will be relieved
Please don't blame yourself"

She walks over to the bathroom
No one is around
She grabs a new blade
Her mind is confound

She puts it on her wrist
To herself she claims
"Good bye cruel world!
I now leave behind your games!"

No one comes running
No one is there
Thats nothing new
No one really cared

She slays her own soul
She cuts so deep
No one can save her now
Her life seemed so cheap

Now its all over
She lays on the floor
Drenched in her own blood
The tears no longer pour

What will they think?
It matters no more
She does not care
When they walk through that door

Lets all take a moment
And pray for her soul
And hope none of us
Have a life we have stole
