Daddys rubbish run

by Michelle   Mar 25, 2005

When I was a little girl
I used to love to sing
I loved my music all the time
Especially the type called swing

I soon got into instruments
And played them just for fun
I then took it seriously
And managed to get my practice done

Now I’m at boarding school
And I have no idea what I want to be
My music is hard to keep up with
I need a chance to be free

I’m now thinking about home
And remembered what daddy has done
He’s started a new job in Wilpena
Which we call the rubbish run

Maybe that could be my job
In the hot and unbearable sun
Instead of going to uni
I could be a dump person at the age of twenty-one

So soon I’ll have a job
That isn’t very fun
But at least it’s what I can call
My Daddy’s Rubbish Run

It's really cute, with an upbeat rythm. I liked it, because it's really refreshing compared to most of the dark stuff I read. I really liked it. Two thumbs way, WAY up!
