What goes on

Think way back
to when our grandparents were kids
How life was
What the kids digged

They were into sewing
and swimming in lakes
There were actually punishments
to there mistakes

There dad was the boss
and girls had no rights
Siblings could live
with out getting in fights

our parents were kids
What they did
and what they digged

They were into
Playing jacks
Cops and robbers
and hackey sack

There mom was the boss
they did as she said
When she said sleep time
the kids went to bed

They ate what they got
and not a bite more
If they had to do laundry
it was not a big chore

They helped out there parents
without a single fuss
On there report cards
They could get a E plus

Now take a look
To now a day kids
What there into
and what they dig

It's all about guns
Drugs and Booze
All about sex
And tattoos

If you don't smoke
and you don't do drugs
If your not a prep
and don't hang with thugs

then your known as a loser
a nerd or a freak
You get made fun of
your known as a geek

Things have changed
Life is worse then death
just if your different
Shouldn't separate you from the rest
